Ingredients
  

  • 2 cup curd yogurt
  • ½ cup Onion chopped
  • Curry leaves A few
  • ½ tsp Urad dal (split black gram)
  • ½ tsp Channa dal (split Bengal gram)
  • 1 tsp Oil
  • ¼ tsp Turmeric powder
  • â…› tsp Pepper
  • 1 tsp Coriander leaves chopped
  • ¼ tsp Jeera cumin seeds
  • ¼ tsp Mustard seeds

Instructions
 

  • Heat 1 tsp Oil in a kadai (deep pan).
  • Add 1/4 tsp Jeera and 1/4 tsp Mustard seeds to the pan and let them sizzle.
  • Now, 1/2 tsp Urad dal and 1/2 tsp Channa dal to the pan and saute until they turn golden brown.
  • Add Curry leaves and chopped 1 tsp Coriander leaves to the pan. Saute well.
  • Sprinkle 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder and 1/8 tsp Pepper powder into the mixture. Mix well.
  • Add chopped 1/2 cup Onion and let them cook for 2 minutes.
  • Switch off the flame and let the mixture cool down. Once cooled, add 2 cup curd to the mixture and mix well.
  • The flavorful Curd Thadka is now ready to be enjoyed with rice or millets.
