  • 4 tsp Green gram dal
  • 4 tsp Rice
  • 3 Cashews
  • 1 cup Water
  • pinch Turmeric
  • pinch Ajwain
  • pinch Jeera

  • Rinse and soak the 4 tsp Green gram dal and 4 tsp Rice in 1 cup Water for an hour.
  • Soak the 3 Cashews in warm water for 30 minutes.
  • Drain the cashews and blend them with a spoonful of water to make a smooth paste.
  • Pressure cook the soaked green gram dal and rice with the pinch of turmeric, pinch Ajwain, pinch Jeera, and 1 cup of water for about 4-5 whistles.
  • Once the pressure releases, mash the dal and rice together until it forms a smooth, porridge-like texture.
  • Add the cashew paste to the mixture, stirring until well combined.
  • Cook for an additional 5 minutes or until the porridge has reached the desired consistency.
  • Allow the porridge to cool down slightly and then serve it to your little one.
